The Movement Disorders Program provides state-of-the-art care for patients with a variety of involuntary abnormal movements, such as Parkinson disease (PD), tremor, Huntington disease (HD), Tourette syndrome, dystonia and tardive dyskinesia. In collaboration with neurosurgery, the IU Deep Brain Stimulation Program provides surgical therapy for patients with PD, essential tremor and dystonia. In alliance with medical genetics, there is ongoing research into the genetic basis of PD and HD. Fellows will participate in therapeutic trials and also work with multidisciplinary clinical teams to provide excellent care to patients with these disorders.
